CROCKENHILL FC - Pre Season Update
Message from Crockenhill FC Chairman Steve.
÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷÷
Welcome to the start of our new season 24/25, a season I was looking forward to after a good finish and match displays since January.
With a successful preseason tournament where we had 2 teams both reaching the final and things looked all rosy.
The evening before our 1st friendly Jack messaged me to tell me he couldn't commit and wished us well for the season but he forgot to tell me that all the players had also left leaving the club with no Manager or team the night of a friendly v Kent United, and having explained the situation they kindly agreed to the postponement of the game
With no team or Manager we had to continue to cancel games and let the Kent County League know the situation we were in and again they kindly agreed to delay our season until September to give us as much time as possible to sort the club out
Despite many adverts regarding the managers job and players everything had come to a halt until a call from an old friend who had heard about our predicament and after a chat he decided he was unhappy where he was and came to us with many good players to build our team for this season
Daniel (Scully) Debenham has become our new Manager and we welcome him and the new players he will bring and after our 1st pre season friendly Saturday v St Lawrence a deserved 4 3 win was great moving forward and I'm again looking forward to the season
We are away this week at Standard Ballers but still hoping to switch to the Meadow and will provide the information when it's agreed.
The Crocks Sunday side have drawn their 1st friendly 2 2, but won on this Sunday 6 0 with Reece Cullen scoring 5 goals a great team performance and are home again this Sunday 10 30am kick off, and the Sunday Swans haven't started yet due to holidays.
On Monday we could have a hat trick of wins when our Dart team play their last game at home to Eynsford D team and are just 1 point behind the leaders but had their worse display against the away losing 9 legs to 2 so hoping for a good result.
COME ON YOU CROCS!!!!!!!!
STEVE
